Higgsfield AI pricing looks simple on the plan cards, but what decides your bill is what a month of credits actually buys. On October 9, 2026, the official pricing page listed a Free plan with no credits, Starter at $19 per month, Plus at $59 per month or $47 per month billed yearly, and Ultra from $129 per month or $99 per month billed yearly.
Search results still mix in older numbers, including a $9 entry plan and a 1-day free trial that ended in July 2026. This guide puts current prices in one dated table, converts credits into cost per image and per clip, and matches each plan to a workload. It is based on Higgsfield's pricing page and help center, not on our own test generations.
Quick answer: the Free plan has no credits and watermarks every output, so treat it as a preview. Starter ($19 per month, 270 credits) fits light image work. Plus ($47 per month billed yearly, 1,200 credits) is the first plan with every Seedance model and costs about 44% less per credit than Starter. Ultra ($99 per month billed yearly, 3,000 credits) pays off only if you regularly run out of Plus credits.
Higgsfield AI pricing per month vs billed yearly
The pricing page opens with the annual toggle on, so the first prices you see are yearly rates shown per month. The table lists the Higgsfield AI plans for individuals with both billing options. Cost per credit is our arithmetic (price divided by monthly credits), not a figure Higgsfield publishes.
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed yearly (per month) | Credits per month | Cost per credit, billed yearly (our math) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 0 (small set of models, watermark) | n/a |
| Starter | $19 | $19 (no yearly saving) | 270 | $0.070 |
| Plus | $59 | $47 (20% off) | 1,200 | $0.039 ($0.049 billed monthly) |
| Ultra 3,000 | $129 | $99 (23% off) | 3,000 | $0.033 ($0.043 billed monthly) |
| Ultra 6,000 | $250 ($220 first month) | $194 (22% off) | 6,000 | $0.032 |
| Ultra 9,000 | $375 ($310 first month) | $270 (28% off) | 9,000 | $0.030 |
Prices exclude VAT and local taxes, added at checkout. Ultra is one plan card with a credit selector, so the three Ultra rows are one plan at different sizes. The '30% OFF' badge in the page header is not what any individual plan saves against monthly billing. On October 9, billed yearly, Plus saved 20% ($144 a year), Ultra 3,000 23% ($360 a year), Ultra 6,000 22% ($672 a year) and Ultra 9,000 28% ($1,260 a year), matching the 'Save $X compared to monthly' notes on the cards. The 25% and 30% badges on Ultra 6,000 and 9,000 are measured against higher struck-through prices of $258 and $387, not the $250 and $375 monthly prices. The lower Ultra 6,000 and 9,000 monthly prices apply to the first month only, then renew at $250 and $375.
Why other sites show different Higgsfield pricing
A Higgsfield blog post dated June 27, 2026 listed a 'Basic' plan at $9 per month. A Reddit thread from about four months before our check described Starter at $15 for 200 credits and Plus at $49 for 1,000 credits, as user-posted figures. Neither matches the October 9 page. Starter, Plus and Ultra 3,000 prices were unchanged from our September 23, 2026 check; confirm the live page before paying.
What a credit buys: cost per image and per video clip
Credit cost swings widely by model, resolution and length. The table uses the approximate credit costs printed in the pricing page comparison table on October 9, 2026, with yearly billing for Plus and Ultra. The number in brackets is how many of that output one month of credits covers.
| Output | Credits (as listed) | Starter, $19 | Plus, $47 billed yearly | Ultra 3,000, $99 billed yearly |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Soul 2.0 image | 0.12 | $0.008 (2,250) | $0.005 (10,000) | $0.004 (25,000) |
| Nano Banana Pro image | 2 | $0.14 (135) | $0.08 (600) | $0.07 (1,500) |
| Kling 3.0 video, 720p, 5 seconds | ~7 | $0.49 (38) | $0.27 (171) | $0.23 (428) |
| Kling 3.0 video, 1080p, 5 seconds | ~8 | Not included on Starter | $0.31 (150) | $0.26 (375) |
| Seedance 2.0 video, 1080p, 5 seconds | ~45 | Not included on Starter | $1.76 (26) | $1.49 (66) |
| Google Veo 3.1 video, 4 seconds | ~40 | Not included on Starter | $1.57 (30) | $1.32 (75) |
Monthly billing raises every Plus cost by about 25% ($59 instead of $47) and every Ultra 3,000 cost by about 30% ($129 instead of $99). The plan cards estimate about 80 Seedance 2.5 videos on Plus and about 200 on Ultra, but the comparison table did not list a per-clip credit cost for Seedance 2.5.
Budget for retries, not only finished clips
Credits are spent on every generation, including the ones you discard, and Higgsfield publishes no typical keep rate. As an illustration only, if one in three generations is usable, a usable 5-second Kling 3.0 clip at 720p on Plus billed yearly costs about $0.82, and a usable 5-second Seedance 2.0 clip at 1080p about $5.29. Model and resolution move the bill more than the plan does: the Seedance clip uses about six times the credits of the Kling clip. For the same method across several video tools, see our AI video generator cost per clip guide.
Which Higgsfield plan fits your workload
- Images first, occasional short video: Starter. 270 credits cover about 2,250 Soul 2.0 images or 135 Nano Banana Pro images a month. Seedance access is limited to Seedance 2.0 Fast and Mini, it runs up to 2 videos and 4 images in parallel, and yearly billing saves nothing.
- Regular short video for social posts or ads: Plus. 1,200 credits a month, all Seedance models and a 7-day unlimited window for Nano Banana 2 at 2K. Billed monthly it runs up to 6 videos and 8 images in parallel. Billed yearly, the card listed unlimited paid parallel generations and a 7-day unlimited Kling 3.0 window that the monthly card did not show.
- Heavy 1080p or Seedance output: Ultra. Ultra 3,000 costs about 2.1 times as much as Plus billed yearly for 2.5 times the credits, and adds a 7-day unlimited window for Nano Banana Pro at 2K. Choose 6,000 or 9,000 only if you already spend more than 3,000 credits a month.
- Just looking: Free. You can explore the interface, but there are no credits and outputs carry a watermark.
If you are torn between Starter and Plus, start from the model. The pricing table lists full Seedance 2.0, Kling 3.0 at 1080p and Google Veo 3.1 as not included on Starter, so those need Plus or higher. For product and ad creatives, see our guide to Higgsfield's AI ad generator. If upscaling and image editing matter more than video, compare Magnific vs Higgsfield first.
Is Higgsfield free? What the Free plan includes today
Higgsfield has a Free plan, but it is not a free version of the paid product. The help center says free access covers a small set of models and does not include credits, and the pricing table lists 0 credits and 1 concurrent job. Every free generation carries a Higgsfield watermark. Paid plans produce new generations without one, but subscribing does not clean files you already created.
There is no Higgsfield free trial right now; the help center states 'There's no trial period.' The '1 day free trial' and '24 hours free' results refer to a promotion in a Higgsfield blog post dated July 23, 2026: a $0 day that required a card and renewed into a monthly Plus plan. That post said the offer ended July 23, 2026 at 1:30 PM UTC. If a similar offer returns, check the renewal plan and date before entering a card.
Commercial use on Free vs paid plans
The pricing table lists commercial use as included on Starter, Plus and Ultra and 'Not included' on Free. The help center, however, says commercial use rights follow from the Terms of Use for all users, with no separate license to buy. Because the two official pages disagree, treat a paid plan as the safer choice for client or ad work, and read the current Terms of Use before using free output commercially. The same article notes Higgsfield may use content to train its models.
Higgsfield credits, refunds and cancellation
- No rollover. Subscription credits expire at the end of each credit cycle. On yearly billing, credits refresh every 30 days, so you cannot bank a year up front.
- Credit packs. 100, 200, 500, 1,000, 2,000 or 4,000 credits, or an adjustable 5,000 to 25,000. Packs need an active subscription, expire 90 days after purchase, and are priced only at checkout.
- One-time bonuses. Free generations, such as Ads Studio or AI Influencer pools, do not renew with your subscription.
- Off-site use costs credits. MCP, CLI, Canvas and Supercomputer generations always deduct credits. Unlimited models and free generations work only on higgsfield.ai.
- Unlimited has conditions. It runs in the standard queue, may slow at peak times, and is for personal, human use. The help center says most Unlimited models get 365 days, while the newest flagship models may get 7 days, as the plan cards show.
Refunds cover an initial purchase only, within 7 days, and only if no credits were used; free and Unlimited generations do not count as credit use. Renewals are not refundable, a service fee of up to 6% applies, and offers that unlock access are non-refundable once granted. The EEA and UK have a 14-day right of withdrawal that ends early once you use the content. A refund moves the account to the free tier immediately, while a cancellation keeps the plan active until the period ends.
You can switch from monthly to yearly billing at any time, prorated, but not back. If your volume is uncertain, pay monthly first and move to yearly once you know your usage.
Higgsfield AI pricing for teams and business
- Team (2 to 9 members): $79 per seat per month with a $69 first payment, or $65 per seat per month billed yearly. 1,000 credits per seat per month.
- Scale (5 to 15 members): $169 per seat per month, or $150 per seat per month billed yearly. 2,500 credits per seat per month.
- Enterprise: contact sales for custom credits per seat, unlimited seats and volume rollover credits, the only business card that mentions rollover.
Per credit, Team ($0.065 billed yearly) and Scale ($0.060) cost more than Plus ($0.039) or Ultra 3,000 ($0.033) billed yearly, so business plans make sense for separate seats, not cheaper credits. The cards add unlimited Seedance windows (Team: 7 days monthly, 14 billed yearly; Scale: 7 days monthly, 30 billed yearly) that require business verification. Indemnification appears on the Team, Scale and Enterprise cards, but the help center says it is Enterprise-only, so get it confirmed in writing if clients require it.
Higgsfield discounts in brief
- Yearly billing: the public discount in the first table, from 0% on Starter to 28% on Ultra 9,000 against monthly prices. The page's 30% badge is measured against a higher struck-through price.
- First-payment prices: Ultra 6,000 ($220), Ultra 9,000 ($310) and Team ($69 per seat) are lower for the first monthly payment only. The help center calls a promo price a one-time discount; the plan renews at the standard price.
- Partner link: Higgsfield's affiliate page says people who log in through a partner link can get a personal discount of up to 50%, active for three hours from login.
The partner-link percentage is personal and shown after login, so it may be lower than 50%. Frequently asked questions
How much does a Higgsfield AI subscription cost?
On October 9, 2026, Starter cost $19 per month, Plus $59 per month or $47 billed yearly, and Ultra from $129 per month or $99 billed yearly for 3,000 credits. Team started at $65 per seat per month billed yearly, before taxes.
Can I use Higgsfield AI for free?
Yes, with limits. The Free plan has a small set of models, no credits and one job at a time, and every output is watermarked. There is no trial period, so paid models need a paid plan.
Why is Higgsfield AI so expensive?
Most of the cost comes from video. A 5-second Seedance 2.0 clip at 1080p uses about 45 credits, against about 7 for Kling 3.0 at 720p, and unused credits expire every cycle. A cheaper model or resolution for drafts lowers the bill more than switching plans.
Is Higgsfield free for students?
Not at the moment. Higgsfield for Good offers free access to students, professors and non-profits, but all three application forms showed 'Applications are closed' on October 9, 2026.
Is Higgsfield free with Claude?
No. If you use Higgsfield from an assistant such as Claude through its MCP connection, the help center says MCP use always deducts credits, whatever your plan.
Bottom line: which Higgsfield plan to start with
For most solo creators producing short video every week, Plus is the plan to start with: it unlocks every Seedance model, and billed yearly it brings the credit rate down to about $0.039. Pick Starter if you mainly generate images, and move to Ultra only after running out of Plus credits for a month or two. Whichever plan you pick, price your work per usable clip, retries included.
