Best for several video models on one plan
Plus lists Kling 3.0 at 1080p for about $0.39 to $0.43 per 5-second clip on monthly billing, close to Kling's own Pro plan, and adds Seedance, Veo, Sora and Wan models on the same credit balance.

Higgsfield vs Kling is an odd matchup on paper, because Higgsfield sells access to Kling's own models. On October 9, 2026, Higgsfield's pricing page listed Kling 3.0 at 720p, 1080p and 4K inside its plans, and Runway's pricing page listed Kling 3.0 as well. So the real question is where the same clip costs less.
The top comparison pages quote conflicting prices for the same plans. This guide uses only the three official pricing pages and help centers, converts each published credit cost for a 5-second Kling 3.0 clip into dollars, and ends with who should pick which. The dollar figures are our arithmetic, not a hands-on test.
Quick answer: Pick Kling if you only use Kling models and want the cheapest way in, clips up to 15 seconds and published native audio and 4K rates. Pick Higgsfield Plus if you want Kling 3.0 at 1080p next to Seedance, Veo, Sora and Wan models on one credit balance. Pick Runway for its own Gen-4.5 model, free credits to test with, a 30-day refund window or a student discount, not for cheap Kling clips.

| Runway Free | $0 | $0 | 125 one-time credits | Watermark, limited set of tools |
| Runway Standard | $15 per month | $12 per month | 625 | No watermark, 4K upscaling |

Kling's first-month prices are a first-purchase offer available once, and each plan renews at the higher monthly price shown. Higgsfield prices exclude VAT and local taxes, and we did not find tax terms on Kling's or Runway's pricing pages. Higgsfield's annual saving depends on the plan: 0% on Starter, 20% on Plus and 23% on Ultra 3,000, even though the page header shows a 30% OFF badge. For every Higgsfield plan option, see our Higgsfield AI pricing breakdown.
Higgsfield vs Kling cost: the same Kling 3.0 clip on each platform
Higgsfield is a multi-model platform. Its compare table lists Kling 3.0, Kling 3.0 Motion Control, Kling Omni 3 and older Kling versions next to Seedance, Sora 2, Google Veo 3.1, Wan and Minimax Hailuo. Runway also lists several Kling 3.0 variants beside its own Gen-4.5 and Gen-4 models. Kling sells only its own models, directly.
Credits do not compare across platforms. A 5-second Kling 3.0 clip at 1080p is listed at about 8 credits on Higgsfield, 40 to 60 credits on Kling and 80 credits on Runway. Converted to dollars with each plan's own price:
| Platform and plan | Credits per 5-second clip | Cost per clip (our math) | Clips per month from plan credits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Higgsfield Starter ($19) | Not included at 1080p (720p: about 7) | About $0.49 to $0.53 at 720p | About 36 to 38 at 720p |
| Higgsfield Plus ($59 monthly) | About 8 (page counts imply 8.75) | $0.39 to $0.43 | About 137 to 150 |
| Higgsfield Plus ($47 per month, billed yearly) | About 8 to 8.75 | $0.31 to $0.34 | About 137 to 150 |
| Higgsfield Ultra 3,000 ($129 monthly) | About 8 to 8.75 | $0.34 to $0.38 | About 343 to 375 |
| Kling Standard ($8.80 after first month) | 40 without native audio, 60 with | $0.53 / $0.80 | 16 / 11 |
| Kling Pro ($32.56 after first month) | 40 / 60 | $0.43 / $0.65 | 75 / 50 |
| Kling Ultra ($159.99 after first month) | 40 / 60 | $0.25 / $0.37 | 650 / 433 |
| Runway Standard ($15) | 80 (Kling 3.0 Turbo 1080p) | $1.92 | 7 |
| Runway Pro ($35) | 80 | $1.24 | 28 |
| Runway Max ($95) | 80 | $0.80 | 118 |
The settings are not identical. Higgsfield's Kling 3.0 row does not say whether audio is on, Kling prices native audio separately (12 instead of 8 credits per second at 1080p), and Runway's Kling 3.0 Std and Pro versions with audio (65 and 85 credits) state no resolution.
- Mid-tier plans land close together. Higgsfield Plus costs about $0.39 to $0.43 per 1080p clip on monthly billing, and Kling Pro costs about $0.43 without native audio. With Kling's native audio, Kling Pro rises to about $0.65.
- Kling wins at the top tier. Kling Ultra works out to about $0.25 per clip without native audio, below Higgsfield Ultra 3,000 on either billing option ($0.26 to $0.38).
- Runway is the most expensive way to run Kling 3.0. Its listed cost per clip is higher than Higgsfield's and Kling's at each plan level we compared.
- Higgsfield Starter cannot make 1080p Kling 3.0. Its compare table marks Kling 3.0 1080p and 4K as not included on Starter, so 1080p starts at Plus.
Kling charges per second, so a 10-second 1080p clip is 80 credits without native audio or 120 with it, about $0.87 or $1.30 on Pro. Higgsfield prices Kling 3.0 per 5-second unit, but its recommender lists about 14 credits for an 8-second 720p clip, so do not assume exact doubling. Retries add up too, as our guide to AI video generator cost per clip covers.
Higgsfield vs Runway: when Runway's own models matter
The Higgsfield vs Runway decision is really about Gen-4.5, Runway's own model, which does not appear in Higgsfield's compare table. Gen-4.5 uses 12 credits per second, so a 5-second clip costs about $1.44 on Standard, $0.93 on Pro and $0.60 on Max. Standard's 625 credits equal 52 seconds of Gen-4.5.
Standard allows 5 parallel generations, Pro 15 and Max 20. Max adds HDR, ProRes and image sequence output. Pro and Max cards also include unlimited Topaz AI Upscale; Seedance 2.5 appears in their model lists without an unlimited tag.
Higgsfield's case is breadth. Plus and Ultra unlock every Seedance model, Sora 2, Veo 3.1 and Kling 3.0 up to 4K. On October 9, the annual Plus and Ultra cards showed a 7-day Kling 3.0 unlimited window that the monthly cards did not. Unlimited generations run in the standard queue, may slow at peak times and work only on the Higgsfield website. If you plan to use Higgsfield's own tools, our Higgsfield Cinema Studio workflow shows how a project fits together.
Free plans, watermarks and commercial use
All three free plans add a watermark, so they work for testing, not for client work. They differ in what you can test:
- Runway Free gives 125 one-time credits that never expire or refresh. You cannot buy more on Free, and Gen-4.5 needs Standard or higher.
- Higgsfield Free includes no credits and a small set of models, and the help center says there is no trial period.
- Kling Basic lists no plan credits; the FAQ mentions monthly free credits for non-subscribers at login but not the amount. Basic excludes 1080p, 4K and commercial use.
Runway's help center places no non-commercial restrictions on outputs and requires no credit to Runway, with no plan condition stated. Kling allows commercial use for paid subscribers, and non-members must label content with Kling branding. Higgsfield's pricing table lists commercial use as included on Starter, Plus and Ultra but not on Free, while its help center says commercial rights follow from the Terms of Use for all users. Paid plans are the safe choice on all three.
Kling vs Runway on clip length, resolution and credit expiry
Kling 3.0 runs from 3 to 15 seconds per clip, and Kling's July 2026 credit guide lists native 4K output at 30 credits per second on paid plans. Runway's Gen-4.5 runs 2 to 10 seconds at 720p, with 4K through upscaling (unlimited on Pro and Max). Higgsfield lists 4K rows for Kling 3.0 and Seedance 2.0 on Plus and Ultra, but it does not publish one table of maximum clip length per model, and its table does not say whether 4K Kling output is native or upscaled.
For 4K Kling 3.0, Higgsfield lists about 30 credits per 5 seconds, roughly $1.48 on Plus monthly. Kling's native rate is 150 credits per 5 seconds, about $1.63 on Pro or $0.92 on Ultra, and Kling says rates follow its live interface.
Credit expiry rules:
- Higgsfield: subscription credits do not roll over, annual plans refresh every 30 days, and Credit Packs expire 90 days after purchase and need an active subscription.
- Kling: monthly credits last 31 days, purchased credits last 2 years, and credits for failed generations are refunded.
- Runway: Standard and Pro credits do not roll over, Max rolls over up to one month, and purchased credits never expire.
Refunds and discounts to check before paying
Runway may refund at its discretion within 30 days of a purchase or renewal if the credits are unused or close to unused. Higgsfield refunds initial purchases within 7 days only if no credits were used, charges a service fee of up to 6% and does not refund renewals. Kling's payment policy says fees for a paid service are non-refundable once activated. Runway's policy is the most forgiving of the three on paper.
Runway's yearly billing is 20% off (Standard is $12 a month instead of $15, or $36 a year less), and students and educators can get 25% off any paid plan after SheerID verification. Kling's first-month prices are 29% to 30% under list, as a first-purchase offer available once. We did not find a student discount on Higgsfield's site, and its Higgsfield for Good program showed applications closed on October 9.

Which one should you pick?
Choose Kling if you only need Kling models. It has the cheapest paid entry, Kling 3.0 clips up to 15 seconds (Runway's Gen-4.5 stops at 10), separate native audio pricing and about $0.25 per 1080p clip without native audio on Ultra. Paid fees are non-refundable once activated, so start on Standard.
Choose Higgsfield Plus if you want Kling 3.0 at 1080p plus Seedance, Veo, Sora and Wan models from one credit balance. Its listed Kling 3.0 cost per clip is close to Kling's own Pro plan, and you also get models Kling does not sell. Skip Starter if 1080p Kling is your goal, because Starter stops at 720p for Kling 3.0. Choose Runway if Gen-4.5 is the model you want, or if you need a free test balance, a 30-day refund window, a student discount or ProRes and HDR output on Max. Do not choose Runway mainly to run Kling 3.0, because its listed Kling cost per clip is the highest of the three. Confirm live numbers on Kling's plans page and Runway's pricing page.
FAQ
Is Higgsfield better than Kling AI?
It depends on how many models you use. Higgsfield runs Kling 3.0, and on Plus its listed 1080p cost per clip is close to Kling Pro. Kling direct is better for Kling-only work, 15-second clips, native audio or Ultra-level volume.
Can you use Kling inside Higgsfield?
Yes. Higgsfield lists Kling 3.0 at 720p, 1080p and 4K alongside other Kling versions. Starter includes Kling 3.0 only at 720p; 1080p and 4K start at Plus.
Is Higgsfield AI better than Runway?
For Kling 3.0, Higgsfield's listed cost per clip is lower than Runway's at each plan level we compared. Runway is better if you want Gen-4.5, free credits or a longer refund window.
Which is cheaper, Higgsfield or Runway?
Runway's entry plan is cheaper, $15 per month against $19 for Higgsfield Starter. Per Kling 3.0 clip, Higgsfield is cheaper: about $0.39 to $0.43 on Plus monthly against $1.24 on Runway Pro.
Is Runway worth the money?
Yes, if Gen-4.5, Max-plan export formats or the 30-day refund policy matter to you. Not if you mainly want Kling 3.0, which costs more per clip on Runway than on Higgsfield or Kling.
The choice comes down to scope: one model points to Kling, several models on one balance point to Higgsfield Plus, and Gen-4.5 with friendlier refunds points to Runway. Check each live pricing page before paying.
